Rysen Bobcat Services Ltd. is an Edmonton-based grading and earthworks contractor serving civil, transportation, and commercial construction projects across the region. Rysen is an Edmonton-based earthworks and grading contractor founded in 1999 to fill a niche role in providing specialized grading services within the industry. Since then, the company has continued to grow through its commitment to meeting client needs with quality service and competitive pricing.
Over the years, Rysen has been involved in every civil-based P3 project in Edmonton. This includes the TransEd Valley Line LRT, working with EllisDon and Bechtel; the Southeast Anthony Henday Drive project with PCL and Lafarge; the Northwest Anthony Henday Drive project with Flatiron-Graham-Parsons JV; and the Northeast Anthony Henday Drive project with Flatiron-Dragados-Aecon-Lafarge JV.
Rysen has also played an active role in several long-term Neighbourhood Renewal projects and arterial roadway contracts for the City of Edmonton through Lafarge and Park Paving Ltd. In the past three years, the company has completed improvements at the Highway 15 / 825 / 37 Interchange for Park Paving Ltd., the Terwillegar Drive expansion with Lafarge, and the Stadium Station Rehabilitation with EllisDon.
Today, Rysen is actively working on three Neighbourhood Renewal projects, Strathcona County arterial roadway work, and the Capital Line LRT Project. These projects continue to reflect our commitment to dependable civil construction, experienced crews, and responsive project support across the Edmonton region.

Rysen owns and maintains the equipment used on its projects. With a fully staffed maintenance facility in Acheson, the company supports repairs, upkeep, and equipment readiness in-house. This helps maintain responsiveness in the field and supports reliable delivery on active jobs.
Our fleet and support equipment include tandem trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, compaction equipment, loaders, skid steers, and mobility support equipment. Rysen has staff year-round and can meet the demands of each project, currently employing 120 seasonal staff and 20 permanent office and field supervisors. Rysen is also bondable and in good standing with its bonding company, and has performed work for bonding companies to complete and clean up another contractor’s work.
